Lakers basketball star Kobe Bryant and his wife, Vanessa, are selling their Mediterranean-style estate in Newport Beach’s gated Pelican Ridge community for $8.59 million.

The four-bedroom house has 8,471 square feet of living space and includes a shark tank in a large office/library, according to the listing. The house also boasts a hair salon, home theater and an 850-square-foot gym.

The home of Kobe and Vanessa Bryant is behind its own set of gates on a cul de sac in Newport Coast’s gated Pelican Ridge community.

The home, behind its own set of private gates, has an “extra-deep” swimming pool, spa, lush gardens, fire pit and outdoor kitchen, according to Jordan Cohen of Re/Max Olson & Associates, the listing agent. “All remodeling was done by the current owners,” the listing says.

The house is one of three the Bryants have owned in recent years in Newport Beach.

In January, the couple sold a Pelican Ridge home around the corner from their main residence for $3.2 million.

Five years ago, the Bryants bought a house under construction in Pelican Crest, another gated community less than two miles away. The nearly one-acre property has sweeping coastline views.

A listing at the time described the Pelican Crest home as a roughly 14,500-square-foot, three-story Santa Barbara-style residence, with six bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, along with a private pool and five-car garage. A building permit issued for that residence also called for a two-level sport court.
