Attend a free Veterans Day Community Celebration at the OC Fair and Event Center to say thank you to our nation’s veterans. Listen to live music, grab a free hot dog and make a holiday card for a vet. Veterans’ organizations and other programs will be on exhibit. Bring a non-perishable good or care package for a local veteran in need.

Salute the nation’s veterans at the Orange Coast College Campus Quad flagpole with a flag raising ceremony, speakers and a reception in the Student Center Lounge. Special guests will include veterans who served at the Santa Ana Army Air Base during World War II. Free parking and admission.

The American Legion will host a free program that honors all vets at Clubhouse Three. They plan on honoring all 1,302,000 men and women who have been killed over the past 241 years as well as all veterans.

The Village Chorale of Laguna Woods will perform a free Veterans Day concert with patriotic and Americana music at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Cross. All who have served in uniform will be recognized.

Join the Veterans + Labor for their 13-mile motorcycle ride to the Veterans Day celebration at the OC Fairgrounds. Kickstands up at 11:30 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Attend a Veterans Day Tribute and commemorate past and present military members with patriotic music, keynote speakers and light refreshments at the City Council Chambers. The event is free and open to the public.

Women in the military will be spotlighted at this year’s Veterans Day Tribute at Depot Park. The keynote speech will be by Kyndra Rotunda, an Army veteran and a professor of military and international law at Chapman University. She’ll tell stories of women who have served in the military dating back to those who disguised themselves as men to fight in the American Revolution. A group of World War II re-enactors, the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, also is bringing two real World War II jeeps that attendees will be able to view, sit in or take pictures with. Enjoy a parade in downtown Fullerton and a Veterans Day ceremony at Hillcrest Park. All veterans are welcome to join the parade which will include JROTC as well a special “fly-over” by planes from Air Combat USA. The ceremony will include a speaker, placement of wreaths and bagpipes.

Attend a Veterans Day Ceremony at Veterans Memorial park on Tuesday. The Stanton Lions Club will provide a ceremonial wreath, and refreshments, donated by the Stanton Women’s Division, will be served after the ceremony.

Residents, veterans and their families are invited to attend the city’s 26th annual Veterans Day Observance ceremony. Four names will be added to the city’s memorial wall in the plaza.

Yorba Linda

Enjoy free admission all day sponsored by the Richard Nixon Foundation. See exhibits and programs at the 9-acre Presidential Library and Museum as well as a life-size replica of the White House East Room. Commemoration begins at 10 a.m. and will feature remarks by former National Security Advisor Robert “Bud” McFarlane. A performance of All-American classics from the Placentia Symphonic Band is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
