What’s open, what’s closed on Memorial Day

Memorial Day is Monday.

GOVERNMENT OFFICES

Federal, state and county offices, county libraries and city halls will be closed. Most city libraries will be closed as well.

BANKS

Banks will be closed. Check with your local in-store bank, as some might be open.

MALLS

Malls will be open, though hours might vary.

SCHOOLS

Public schools will be closed. Check with day-care providers, as they might also be closed.

GROCERY STORES

Stores will be open.

TRASH

Most cities will not have trash pick up on Monday. For those that don’t, collection will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week.

POSTAL SERVICE

Post offices will be closed, and no regular mail will be delivered.

OCTA, METROLINK

Metrolink and the OCTA buses will be running on a lighter holiday schedule.
